Camelot Haven 2009

Welcome!
to the wonderful world of Ragdolls.

Everyone should hold a Ragdoll, once before they die.

Hi, I'm Janet, my granddaughter, Ryn. And
dcp_0025.jpg
WE LOVE RAGDOLLS!!

My name is Janet, I've been in Phoenix for 56 yrs.

This is one of my better photos.

Once again, Camelot has kittens.  Sometimes I hold my breath waiting for kittens,(and this is one of those moments) and some times I think, OH no!!  There are 4, and Sundae is the caregiver, in this case.  3 of them having been rejected by their mother, have adapted very nicely to Sundae and her singleton.

Let's hear it for Sundae, she never even batted an eye when I plopped those 3 kittens into her birthing box.  Just lick and love.   There is one lilac male (the first lilac born at Camelot).  RAH!!!!

Jessie has her first litter (4).  Looks like we have some seals this time.  Babies can leave the first part of September.

Pictures of previous litters.

This is Gunner, a male seal colorpoint. He was
cgunner.jpg
to be a stud, but they changed their minds.

And this is Gunner, 10 months later. Not the
3gunner.jpg
strong, silent type either. This guy talks.

One of my pet peeves is to get into a web site and can't find out what state they're in. I'm in Phoenix, Arizona.

I do NOT ship, I transport. Flying to me is right up there with child birth, so all, out of state babies will be escorted.

You can not think of a good enough excuse, for me to allow de clawing. If you de claw, don't call.

I stumbled on Ragdolls, browsing the internet in 1991, and have been hooked ever since. I started breeding in 1997.

My queens are: Adonica, Stevie and China Doll, all first generation Doll House, that are holding up the smuchie sweet name, Doll House has earned and derserves.  SUNDAE and Jessie, are second generation Doll House, and Bonnie Boo who is out of Holly Farms.

If you would like to reserve a kitten, a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is requested. Balance is due before release of the kitten. All babies are sold, with a 48 hour general health guarantee, and 8 years on their genitic health. If there is a problem, and you expect me to pay for it, the baby will be treated by my vet, who is a seasoned Ragdoll vet.

My cattery name is registered with TICA, as will your kitten. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone, and make arrangements to see the babies. You and your family are welcome. 602-938-4318.

With the exception of the nursery, during the first weeks of life, my Rags have free access to the entire house and are never caged.

Pet kittens, are altered before they leave the cattery.  I do not sell breeders to anyone that is not an established Ragdoll Breeder, and has a cattery registered in TICA.

Babies can go to their new homes when they are 12 weeks or older. You may also contact me for other Ragdoll breeders in your area.

Pet quality kittens are $600.00 and Once in awhile I have, older adults, (they are usually teenagers) for sale, at a discounted price. There is nothing wrong with these older Ragdolls, usually they are the ones I was keeping for myself. ALL Ragdolls bond, in case you think, you have to have, a kitten. I welcome an e-mail or a phone call from you when your baby is sick, no matter how old they are. I consider them "OURS".  I just might be able to help.

Besides a 48 hour/8 year health guarantee (see Contract in the menu area below), I have a placement policy for all sold Rags. Rags are NON-transferable, without my permission. If for some reason, and God willing it never happens, you are unable to keep your Rag, I will help you place him or her with another Rag lover, which you will be able to meet. Or if you have someone in mind, I'd like the opportunity to at least talk to them.   I would hope most Rag breeders have a policy like this, it keeps our cats out of the shelters, and gives you some piece of mind.

Please don't feel like you have to have bought the Rag from me, I will gladly try to place any Rag, if there is a need. Please check with the original breeder first, because that's the first thing I'm going to ask you. If your breeder, can not or will not help you, I'm at your service.  I have been rescuing Ragdolls for 8 years and the list of Wanters is endless.

Frito Bandito, Male seal mitt.

Looks like he can sleep anywhere.

Menu is on the bottom of the page, I don't know why.

A lot of my photos are courtesy of the Ragdoll owners, themselves.  I did add  a photo section to my contract, and most have honored this. I never get tired of seeing these guys growing up. Some are harder to give up than others, but none of them are easy.

I have 2 teenagers, Dor and Wade, and several retired breeders that still need all the attention that a private home can give them.  See: Retired breeders needing homes.

With Luck, I'm planning on some "lilac's" in the summer of 2009.  UPDATE:  I did get one lilac, he's a boy, named Precious.  See the July litter.

Cholla a seal mitted male. I thought his top lip

looked like Hitler's in reverse.

Cholla- Domino about 6 months later.

You are going to have this baby for 17 some odd years.  It should not be asking too much to let me keep them for 12 weeks.  My kittens are totally guaranteed and I need to give them the best send off I can possible give.

As for bonding??  You're thinking cats and I'm thinking Ragdolls.  ALL RAGDOLLS BOND, regardless of age.

I am not a rich woman and there is no way, I would incur the extra cost of keeping kittens, an extra month, (from 8 wks to 12 wks) unless I thought it was imperative to do so.

Early weening has been linked to biting and scratching, bad potty habits, and a general all around unsociable kitten.  See the "Barbara French" link below.

Sparkey (Nevada Blue) about 8 weeks

Blue mitted bi. Male and so sweet

yep! This is Sparkey, or Buster Boo because he

wrestles with dogs and wins. 17 pounds and growing.

At the urging of my sister, I will introduce Nilaka Lite. He is Camelots newest member and our only stud. Al Clare is my sister and she likes colorpoint seals. She also helps with meds and anything else I need. Thank God. Wrestling with an adult Ragdoll is comparable to these cowboys that tie a rope around 3 legs of a calf. Hummmm! No, no, I was just kidding.

Nilaka Lite, a lilac bi one year. I call him Lalo.

My name is Janet, I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I have been breeding Ragdolls for about 10 years.

Pet quality kittens are $600.00, they are spay/neutered,  and vaccinated 3 times, before they leave Camelot.  All babies are papered and guaranteed neg/neg for HCM.

Camelot has tested negative/negative for both the Ragdoll and Maine-coon HCM, going all the way back to Tenaj and Nikki.

In order to stomp HCM out, all breeders of Ragdolls need to test their own breeders.  Some have chosen not to.  Do yourself a favor and ask for the printout of the HCM test results of their breeders before buying a kitten.   This is not an expensive test, and even if it was, you don't breed kittens to die.
